About my work on Cotpear

Chi Yi’s Blog was created in 2014, in my third grade year of elementary school for fun, learning the HTML programming language, then I established the website writing theme: programming tutorials.

In order to make it easy for beginners, I wrote the steps in particular detail in the hope that the public would benefit from them; however, these articles did not have a response and the total number of views stopped at 3000, which made me very frustrated and stopped updating for some time.

Around 2018, I changed Yi’s Blog to a number of different names in hopes of getting more attention, using the name Yi’s Blog for a year on end. What I didn’t expect was that the number of views was slowly creeping up (8,000 total views), which gave me the motivation to keep updating and also invite some creators to collaborate.

History

  • In 2018, change the name of the site to Cute Computer

  • In 2018, change the name of the site to Yi’s Blog

  • In November 2019, single month visits reached a record high of 1000

  • At the end of 2018, the site managed to break 10,000 click-throughs, and I’m grateful to the creators for their publicity.

  • In 2019, the name of the site was changed to Cotpear after discussion
    • There is no particular allusion to Cot for crushed stone (stroller) and Pear for pear. Taking this name is just as catchy as Google. Also purchased the domain cotpear.com.

Thanks to the artist Chi Chien for design the icons for the website!

Below are old icons that have not been removed, what a nostalgia.
